Date Course Description
January 16 & 17, 2009 Eyesight to Insight: Visual/Vestibular Assessment and Treatment
2 Day workshop provides a practical opportunity for participants to interact with a sensory integrative occupational therapist and a developmental optometrist as they collaborate on the goal of facilitating optimum performance in children with movement and vision issues. Therapists are exposed to a broad range of practical, innovative, sequential vestibular-visual activities and exercsies for use with their clients.
Objectives for Participants:
Demonstrate powerful treatment strategies that utilize the vestibular-oculomotor-cervical triad.
Describe how functional performance is driven by vision and movement.
Presenters: Mary Kawar, MS, OTR/L and Stanley A. Appelbaum, OD, FCOVD
Who Should Attend: OTs, PTs and SLPs
Tuition: $390 for participants registering by 12/31/08; $410 on/after 01/01/09 (includes handouts, lab materials, Vision Kit, and refreshments)
