The exercise room is a unique part of Adult Services. Individuals enjoy the opportunity to get out of their chairs during the day and have the opportunity to stretch, increase strength and endurance, relax and socialize with peers. Other skills such as eye-hand coordination, switch activation and attention to task are enjoyed by many. The room's atmosphere stimulates individuals' senses while making the room a fun place to be. It is here that individuals are able to follow through with therapeutic exercise. |

Here at CP we are able to offer something rather unique to most day service facilities: a therapeutic pool. Individuals benefit immensely from the warm water (at 92 degrees), exercises in the pool and getting out of their wheelchairs. Through the use of floatation equipment, clients are able to be independent in the water and experience the sensory input the water provides. The pool is an excellent environment to work on standing, walking, relaxation, range of motion and sensory issues. |
 |
| |
It also gives individuals an opportunity to relax, have fun and be more independent. If you would like to learn more about our therapeutic pools, click here. |

Unique to CP is our adapted computer lab. In computer classes, participants have the opportunity to utilize and learn a variety of computer technology and software programs. Types of software we use range from simple cause and effect to Microsoft Word and Excel documents. Since the abilities vary, the Adult Day Service staff works with individual to find the least complicated and most successful way to access the computer; using touch screens, headmouse, adapted keyboards or single switch. |
 |
Currently, a group of clients work on the quarterly client newsletter. The group meets once a week, works together and puts out a great newsletter. The computer lab also gives individuals an opportunity to access games, access the internet, learn pre-vocational skills and have paid work opportunities
You can also purchase items made by the clients in the computer room. To find out more about our Computer Work Activities Program and items you can purchase click here. |

The Growing Together Garden Center officially blossomed on Thursday, May 31st, 2007
Clients, staff and guests including donors, The Outhouse Gang, and board members gathered together to celebrate the grand opening event. All day activities included outdoor art activities, a dunk tank, the sale of garden t-shirts and potted plants, music and a lunch cookout. The ceremony ended with the ribbon cutting early afternoon, just before the garden was christened with a warm rain.
Thank you to all who have been a part of the garden to date.
We invite the public to visit.

About the Garden:The Growing Together Garden Center is an organic adaptive therapy garden. It was constructed with careful consideration of the special needs population we serve. By creating raised beds that allow individuals in wheelchairs to access the garden, we will be growing a variety of vegetables and herbs to use in our kitchen classes as well as gourds and flowers to be used in our craft classes. When winter comes around we will take our garden therapy class indoors where we will focus on herbs and sprouts as well as preparation for the following spring.
|
| |

For more information or to volunteer please call (920)-337-1122.
|
The garden project has become a reality because of the hard work of caring CP Staff, the enduring enthusiasm of the population we serve, and the continuing support of the community.
The Outhouse Gang,

a generous group of Leadership Green Bay Graduates, has helped us to achieve our garden dream. They are a diverse group of professionals that have donated endless hours of their time to ensure the success of this project. With creative guidance from CP staff, the Outhouse Gang has provided project management, garden design and fundraising.
We invite the young, old, functional and disabled to witness the miracle of growing together.
